RB Center, TX

Today the falls creek A group came so we were very excited. Me and Chaz, another intern, took a group of 11 students on street wise to learn the city and keep them from falling asleep. It was super fun. Love you all!

hey rachel!! i was reading the archives, and found something i had forgotten about and wanted to show you, mainly because i always feel like i have to show people things... and you were there w/ me during this realization

Sir," the woman said, "you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep....."

Today, I went to a couple of churches just to see the difference and pray some. At one church in the courtyard area there was a well... a fountain. I looked into it and noticed it was pretty deep. I pulled out my bible and began to read aloud the story I know so well of the samaritan woman at the well. The above quote stuck out to me this time. This woman, obviously had NO IDEA who Jesus was, and I laughed as I imagined her saying that to JESUS.. but then I stopped and realized that what she said, her reaction was much like peoples reaction today. People stare right at Jesus (sometimes not even realizing it is him) and say "sir, this world is too hard, you offer nothing that can help me, and this world is too deep.. what can YOU do? what can you possibly give that will make my life any better?"

"...If you knew the gift of God, and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have given him and he would have given you living water.... Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

Also, today we went to the turkist restaurant next to this internet cafe. They have started to recognize us there... any way the guy from the internet cafe walked in.. obviously friends with the restaurant guy and sees us and says "Oh HEY! How are you?" -- It was fun

and then later this evening (now) I walked into the internet cafe and the pizza guy was working behind the counter. I, being the oh so witty person God created me to be, acted like i was ordering pizza instead of getting the internet. ha. ha. ha. Anyway that is cool that they are beginning to know us in this neighborhood which is mostly turkish.

My heart has begun to latch onto the turks and their kindness... their souls are crying out for something real.
